What should I expect?
At Calvary Baptist Church you can expect to experience a warm and inviting atmosphere, with great music (both traditional hymns and contemporary Christian) and teaching aimed at helping us deal with real life issues. No pretenses or fancy ceremonies – just real people learning together how to live the best possible life. Come join us, we think you will be pleasantly surprised!
What should I wear?
We’re far more focused on people than clothes, so come as you are. We want you to feel comfortable. You will see a lot of casual attire and few coats and ties.
Will I be singled out or expected to give?
Not at all! We strive to treat everybody the same. You will not be singled out or pressured to give money. Calvary Baptist Church is supported through the gifts of our members and other believers who call Calvary Baptist their church home.

Calvary’s Core Beliefs
Trinity – There is one and only one living and true God. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence or being.
God’s Word – We believe God’s Word is inspired, inerrant and infallible. We believe in God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ) and God the Holy Spirit. These beliefs are expressed through the Preaching and Teaching at Calvary Baptist Church.
Worship – We believe both public and private worship are essential for Christian spiritual growth.
Ordinances, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper – We believe Baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. We believe the Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.
Prayer – We believe in the power of prayer and encourage each member to devote time daily to prayer.
Evangelism and Missions – We believe it is the duty of every Christian and every church of the Lord Jesus Christ to seek to extend the gospel, locally and to the ends of the earth.
Discipleship – We believe in equipping Christians to grow in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ and to carry out the Great Commission.
Stewardship – We believe Christians are under obligation to serve God with their time, talents, and material possessions. All these are entrusted to them to us for the glory of God and for helping others.
Family of God – We believe the church is the Family of God made up of brothers and sisters in Christ. We believe we have responsibility to care for and encourage one another.
Marriage and Family – God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord.
